Mr. Goodfriend: Goody’s is a retailer of moderately priced, current- season, trend right, nationally recognized branded apparel for the entire family. We also complement our branded apparel with great private label programs offering great merchandise at value prices every day. We appeal primarily to the female shopper seeking a broad selection of merchandise. We operate in small to mid-sized markets and currently operate 340 stores in 18 states in the Southeast, the Midwest, and the Southwest. Most of our markets have a population of under 100,000 people. We choose these markets primarily for lower rent, lower operating expenses, and less competition. We have numerous opportunities for expansion throughout the United States, especially in our current 18-state market. We are generally located in power strip shopping centers with a flexible store floor plan. Our stores typically range anywhere from 20,000 to 50,000 square feet, with 27,800 square feet the average.
