What Is Going On In Iraq – Why Are We Being Distracted At Home?
It is amazing how a few semi-major events here at home can get our leadership to take their eye of the ball and the bigger picture. There are some real problems going on in Iraq right now, as Al Sadir has returned from self-exile in Iran and has been giving pretty negative anti-US media sound bites. Luckily, he has stated that as long as the US leaves Iraq by next year, he’s given his followers direction to leave US forces there alone. The head of Iraq has also stated that it wants the US out by the end of the year, and apparently, our President Obama, has stated we would leave, but if or when do then what happens? A couple of weeks ago, I was discussing this with an international acquaintance, along with other world affairs. And they asked me some questions, about what I thought.
