What is Global Trade Management (GTM) technology?
Today, each company in the GFSC chain is taking some critical core information and reusing it. In order to reuse that information it has to be transmitted and re-keyed into each independent system. Logically, being able to store the information for a single transaction in a single place accessible to all parties would be more efficient than each recreating the transaction. GTM technology has been developed to provide a single platform where all the parties to a transaction may hold their own proprietary information confidentially, exchange pertinent information, create documents, and store documents. Web portals are the access point for all GTM activities. The technology allows each party to the transaction to continue to operate on its existing systems yet communicate with partners in the trade deal to exchange information via the web portal. Each partner in the transaction uses their own internal systems which are translated when information flows to the web portal.
