What is Genzyme Center’s LEED level?
Platinum. This is the highest level possible. I could go on about this building waterless urinals, sensor blinds, fresh air system, and indoor garden (which in some areas are big enough to grow trees) on this building alone, but Genzyme is more than just this center. In fact, Genzyme is seeking a Silver certification level for it Science Center in, Framingham Massachusetts Research Laboratory. Even more impressive about Genzyme is that it also takes the time to renovate building already in places into more environmentally friendly buildings. Their West Kendall, Cambridge, Massachusetts Office Building is a good example of this. Here genzyme has done such things as put into places systems that conserve water and energy use. Even Internationally Genzyme works on reducing its carbon footprint.
