What is Generic Lyrica (Pregabalin) used for?

I’ve been taking Lyrica for two years for nerve pain in my entire body from fibromyalgia, exactly how you described, like hot pokers stabbing over and over, severe aching muscles, toothache like pain.
My doctor started me on 75mg, the first three days it made me very dizzy and tired, I didn’t notice any difference in my pain. After two weeks he raised the dose to 125mg, again the first few days dizziness and always feeling tired, a little less pain, after two weeks raised to 300mg same dizziness the first few days, it didn’t take all the pain away but it’s a lot less. They said rate your pain from 0-10, in the beginning before Lyrica it was 7-8, now about 3-4. Lyrica is not pain medication, it diffuses the nerves that are causing the pain.
As far as side affects, I can’t say I’m always tired, more like always sluggish.
I would be concerned with the dizziness and tiredness when you first start taking it with the baby, to have someone with you the first few days while your body adjusts to it.
Lyrica has really helped me, I could not imagine going back to laying in my bed for another eight years with that agonizing chronic pain.
