well the legal idea is to make the treatment of someone based upon gender more fair but in practise it does not occur, there are many situations where what ever gender you are its all about what gender you are rather than treatment. in some jobs women are excluded because men won’t work with them or they feel that a woman would be a burden, then again in many roles and jobs you often see an all female work force because of some stupid feeling that a male would be an issue, and so on! so will there ever be true equality no, men are often seen as the bread winner and that strange issue has made women very angry and often seen as not capable, in 2009 there are often men as house husbands since the female has more of a bread winner role. so in the broad scheme of things its a real tug of war, the main thing that perpetuates the whole silly idea is attitude who or what gender is to be employed really depends upon THEATRE, in that, some roles are swamped by women and there in the stupid beli

Gender Equality is the equal treatment of people regardless of their gender. The most obvious areas are in pay in any job, and the likelihood of being employed in the first place.

Gender Equality is considered a Human Right. Therefore it is something that even the United Nations gets involved it. Gender Equality is generally thought of as a “woman’s issue” as the world has been run by men for thousands of years. While the United States and Western Europe are vastly closer to have reached gender equality than most of the rest of the world, they still have not finished. It is a global issue. In the U.S. we focus on things like equal pay for equal work and the right to work outside the home or to be pro-choice (and by pro choice, I literally mean to be able to have a choice in what to do with a fetus and not abortion. Pro-choice doe not equal abortion, it is a gender equality issue in the sense that if a woman is not allowed to have a child out of wedlock or will basically starve to death as a single mother then she has no choice.)
