Gassing refers to when an inmate mixes urine, feces, and toilet water in a cup or container and throws the content into an officer (or other prison staffs) face. Sometimes they also add blood and/or saliva. This is not only disgusting; it can also be dangerous, especially if the inmate has a disease like hepatitis, tuberculosis, or HIV. In at least some states, this offense is now a felony.
