What is GAPs policy on Intellectual Property Rights? Does GAP make any claim on IP developed during the projects it administers?
GAP makes no claim on intellectual property (IP) developed under projects administered through the program. Each application must include an intellectual property rights (IPR) agreement between the Sponsor and Recipient or a letter from the Sponsor stating no IP is anticipated. In order to qualify for technical assistance the rights to IP developed during GAP projects must be allocated between the U.S. and Eurasian parties in a fair and equitable manner and in accordance with the laws and operative agreements governing CRDF activities in the host country. Please consult our website for further guidance.
