What is fuzzy atom/bond matching?

0

Fuzzy atoms and bonds allow differing atom or bond types to be treated as identical during the class generation process. For example, Carbon atoms and Nitrogen atoms can be treated identically when contained in aromatic rings, allowing benzene and pyridine to be considered equivalent. This option allows each class to have a broader definition and therefore to represent a more structurally diverse set of molecules. By default, fuzzy atom/bond definitions are read from a file provided with the ClassPharmer distribution, but users may select an alternate file using the appropriate dialog.
