What is Future Horizons?
Future Horizons is Lancashire County Council’s Pre Apprenticeship scheme which aims to equip young people aged 16 to 18, who are not in education, training or employment and those leaving care with the skills and knowledge they need in order to be successful when applying for the current apprenticeship scheme. You will work with a training provider on a programme to improve your employability skills along with an 8 week placement in Lancashire County Council or your local district council to enhance your work experience. Whilst on placement you will work towards the City and Guilds Employability and Personal Development qualification which will prepare them for working towards an NVQ in the workplace. The training provider for Future Horizons currently is North Lancs Training Group. For more information please see our Future Horizons leaflet.
