What is Fun Friday?
Fun Friday is a reward for a week of hard work and responsible behavior. It is usually held during the last hour of the day on Fridays. This is time for the children to play outside, play board games inside, or to "hang out" with their friends. This is an important activity for the fourth grade student, because he/she is really starting to develop socially. (Some are further along than others, as with most aspects of the fourth grader!) This, however, is a privilege and NOT A RIGHT!!! If the child has missing assignments or has "flipped a card" too many times, he/she will not be able to attend. We have one rotating classroom for those children who have not shown responsible behavior during the week. He/she will use that time to complete assignments or reflect on why he/she is there and not playing with the group.
