What is FRS version 3.0?
FRS is an acronym for Financial Records System. We have upgraded to Y2K compliant (FRS V3.0). For most FRS users, the significant change resulting from this upgrade will be the addition of the century to the entry and display of dates. Individuals who now have data entry rights for FRS will be required to enter a 4-digit year when typing dates. FRS is a budget based system utilized by the University to maintain financial records. It is the Purchasing, Accounts Payable, and Accounting financial modules for the University. FRS is in use at over four hundred colleges and universities worldwide and has been in production at the University since October 1990 for Purchasing, and March 1991 for Accounting and Accounts Payable.
