What is Freshman Forgiveness and does it apply to me?
Freshman Forgiveness is applicable when a student has received a D+ or less during their first 45 credit hours and retakes the course before the end of their sophomore year (when they would have earned 89 credit hours). Freshman Forgiveness allows the first grade to be automatically excluded from the calculation of the student’s cumulative point-hour ratio and deficiency points, but will remain on the student’s official permanent record.
