Frequency-Hopping Spread-Spectrum (FHSS) uses a narrowband carrier that changes frequency in a pattern known to both transmitter and receiver. Both sides talk via “logical channel” for the frequency hopping continuously. To maintain a single logical channel both transmitter and receivershould properly synchronized. FHSS appears to be short-duration impulse noise to an unintended receiver.
