What is Free Childcare for Training and Learning for Work?
This is a new scheme that supports adults (aged 20 years and over) by paying for childcare and travel costs while they are undertaking learning leading to work. The scheme is aimed at low income two parent families where one parent is in work and the other parent is looking to enter learning. The parent wishing to enter learning can apply to receive support for the costs of the childcare that is needed to enable them to participate in learning or training that will help lead them into sustainable employment. The household income needs to be £20,000 or less in the previous tax year.
