What is football?
Football is a game and this game has become popular because of the identity. “You have to have identity, that is where football’s popularity lies.” Platini’s remarks follow similar comments from FIFA counterpart Sepp Blatter earlier this week that “something has to be done about these billionaire owners”.
In England, football is a game where you must move a ball using your feet only (shockingly enough, from the name) from one end of the field to another, but instead of crossing a long line, it must enter a ‘goal’ (a rectangular target in the middle of each end of the field) that is guarded by the goalkeeper of each team (who alone can use his hands on the ball without recieving a penalty, at least in his designated area). Football is non-contact, but players can take the ball from rival team players in a tackle-move or by other non-violent means.
