What is Foot Fungus?
Fungi generally appear in body parts, which remains wet and causes to itching and smell in these parts of the body. It is mostly seen on sportsmen and soldiers and on persons, who are wearing close shoes and boots. Infections, caused by fungi are called mycosis. Mycosis seen on foots are surface mycosis. These infections are called dermatomycosis. The effect caused by this fungus is described as dermatohyt. Some of the pathogenic fungi’s are harming the tissue under the skin. As a result it can extremely destroy the tissue. Dermatomycosis are called generally ringworm. This name is used because the lesions appearing on the skin is looking like a ring. The fungis which are causing infections are found in skins, hairy skins and nails. Exfoliating foot ringworms between toes are foot fungi. This frequent disease is called athletes foot.
