What is Foodlink?
Foodlink is a non-profit America’s Second Harvest regional food bank that rescues and redistributes food that would otherwise go to waste from food manufacturers, farmers and retailers to a network of over 550 human service programs in a 10-county area. Foodlink also purchases food that is difficult to get donated, and is a central USDA distributor for emergency programs such as soup kitchens, food pantries and emergency shelters. Last year alone, Foodlink redistributed over 7.5 million pounds of food in our area.
