What is fog and rule?
I’m surprised no one has answered this yet. I’m a far cry from an expert on your question but I have used a fog law before but not a rule because we don’t have the licenses for rules. Here’s my experience with a fog law. We have one APT macro that I created years ago for milling a face and creating what we call shim lines for CNC machining. One day I got to wondering if Catia V5 was capable of eliminating that macro and sure enough it did. Those techniques can’t be too difficult because I was able to eliminate that macro in less than one day and I’d never even used relations or fog laws before. If you look on the attachment you’ll see a set of external parameters that the programmer enters and the parameters and relations take over from there and create the lines and passes that information over into the toolpaths. It looks intimidating but it’s really not that difficult.
