What is flight status and why is it helpful?
A. When a flight is preparing to depart, it follows a schedule. This dictates when boarding starts, when it ends, the departure gate, the time a plane leaves the gate, and the time for take-off. Because of any number of technical or administrative reasons, or weather changes, any of these flight details is subject to change until the very last moment. Flight status is the sum of all these details.
