What is Flat Rate for Priority and Express Mail?
The Flat Rate allows you to use these services to send items of any weight for the minimum charge, subject to certain restrictions. According to what we have been told by the USPS, these are: • You must use the USPS official Flat Rate envelope; • The envelope may be reinforced by tape on the bottom and sides; • BUT–the envelope must close and stay closed with its own adhesive–no other fastening is allowed. International and heavier items items must be brought to the Post Office window so that our window service clerks can physically see the person dispatching the piece.
