Flash animation was very popular a few years ago as site intro movies. Unfortunately, search engines cannot index the information on that page which is counter intuitive to actually having customers find your site or the products/services within that Flash movie. Flash is still great for presenting multiple points of interest in pre-defined areas, and highly recommended for animated ads.
