What is FLAC and what do I need to play FLAC files?
FLAC is a file format for losslessly compressing audio data. By offering FLAC files, Concert Vault is able to offer concerts at higher quality. All FLAC downloads on Concert Vault are currently encoded from 16 bit / 44.1k CD-quality files. In order to enjoy downloaded FLAC files, you must have a media player that can play FLAC or software with the ability to decode the files into their native format. The Concert Vault Download Manager will not decode the files for you. If you are interested in FLAC, but have not used it before, you need to get familiar with it. A good resource is SourcForge’s FLAC page, and Wikipedia’s FLAC page can also be helpful.
