Fit and gap analysis is a process that allows us to determine how we want our business processes to work in conjunction with the PeopleSoft software systems. A fit is a process that matches or can be standardized to match the way PeopleSoft software systems operate. A gap is a needed function that does not exist in the PeopleSoft software systems. This analysis was one of the project’s first tasks after system selection.
