First-Year Programs sponsors programs for students in their first year at the University of Oregon. There are FIGS (Freshman Interest Groups), Freshman Seminars, and Transfer Seminars. These programs offer opportunities for small classes, mentoring to help navigate the university, and learning about the research interests and creative work of some of the university’s most popular professors.
