What is film rating PG, G, NR, etc. means?

G means General Audiences. It’s for everyone of all ages. PG means Parental Guidance. It’s not for small children, yet the parent must decide if such a movie is suitable for their child. NR means Not Rated. This is generally a film that only went to DVD, a foreign film, or a film that decided not to be rated. Usually you can consider these films R rated, but that’s not always the case. I’ve seen some NR films that were like PG-13 films. Some were even like a PG. I have never seen a NR film suitable for all ages.
