The program focuses on leadership skills, military bearing, physical conditioning, weapons practice, and survival training earning the skills needed to be an Air Force officer. This includes receiving junior officer training, career orientation and learning how the Air Force operates. Field Training usually takes place during the summer between your sophomore and junior year at a selected Air Force Base in the United States. Two types of courses are available, depending upon which program the student anticipates entering (two-or four-year). The two-year program requires a five-week field training course prior to entering the Professional Officer Course, for upperclassmen.
