What Is FastBIT Compression?
FastBIT compression is one of the many innovative features found in the Tier1Backup.com software.. This technology is used to keep backups as small as possible. Much of the data on the backup schedule is in use every day with minimal changes made to it, including spreadsheets, word processing, accountancy software and CRM databases. The FastBIT technology recognizes these data changes, and will only create a backup file or patch of the changes that have been made, resulting in the data storage volume used being reduced each month by an average of between 85% and 99.9%.
