What is Faiths position on homosexuality?
A. First of all, Faith teaches that God wants all men to be saved including homosexuals. Faith also teaches that even though we are all sinners “God so loved the world.” The members of faith want to extend the same love Jeusus showed to “sinners and prostitutes” to those practicing homosexuality. It is this love for the homosexual’s eternal salvation that we must say as Jesus to the adulterer, “Go now and leave your life of sin.” (John 8:11) Faith teaches that marriage is between a man and woman. (Mark 10:6-9) Faith also teaches that sex outside of this definition, including homosexuality and GLBT (Gay/Lesbian/Bisexual/Transgender) lifestyles, are a sin. (Romans 1:25-27, I Corinithinans 6:9) We teach that homosexuality is a sin not to promote ourselves but rather out of a hope that they will turn to God and that we will one day see them in heaven.     Our synod has published a nice booklet that answers the question “How Would God Have Us Approach The Subject of Homosexuality?”
