What is faith vis a vis god and evolution?
I am a Christian. I do not doubt that God created this world, so that makes me a Creationist. I am familiar with the basic theory of evolution, and enjoy watching shows on the Discovery Channel and such that deal with science and evolution – it interests me. I especially became interested in evolution after I learned to Scuba Dive – I learned about the underwater world and how certain creatures evolve and change. I also know from my diving experience that NOTHING, apart from God Himself, could have created such a world that functions in such a symbiotic and perfect manner. So, while I believe that God created everything on this Earth, I also believe that God gave everything in his creation the ability to adapt and change. I think that evolution is evident, and you cannot deny it – anyone who does is ignorant….but I don’t believe that we all evolved from one cell. i think God created us, and I think that he gave us the ability to change and adapt.
