Each year, Federal Student Aid processes more than fourteen million student aid applications and distributes over $80 billion in financial aid. The application for this money is FAFSA. There are three distinct stages to the application process: before, during and after. The first step is to determine if you are eligible at all and to gather necessary information. 1.
