What is “factual” evidence in a students complaint?
As in any legal process, factual evidence consists mainly of written documents. This is why having a well designed syllabus that complies with the CTR and our guidelines is so important. If the syllabus is incomplete or does not comply with the CTR or our guidelines and the student presents it as part of the factual evidence, s/he might have a strong case against the instructor. In other situations, witnesses that are willing to back up the students complaint (especially when the student has been mistreated in the classroom) may constitute factual evidence.
