To construct by making,combining or assembling pieces into a finished article Fabrication can involve cutting, bending, folding, bolting, welding, soldering, brazing rivetting etc etc usually pieces of metal to form the desired finished shape. Imagine a metal tool box starting out as a flat sheet of metal. Pieces are cut to shape bent and joined together to make the metal box.
