What is Extension & Colonization?
Extension is the addition of National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) chapters to the Panhellenic system at a college or university, or the establishment of a sorority system on a campus where previously none had existed. Colonization is the method by which a new chapter is established on a campus. Re-colonization is the re-establishment of a chapter on a campus where the original chapter went dormant. The extension committee of NPC will assist any campus wishing to add an NPC sorority chapter or establish a Panhellenic system. The extension committee will also assist a local sorority wishing to affiliate with Sigma Kappa or any other NPC sorority.
