What is expensive in Scottsdale, Arizona?
Every question on Y!A about Scottsdale almost always has to do with money and how expensive things are. Pretty much the only thing you are going to pay more for is housing, everything else is not different than almost anywhere else. Yes, there are certain stores and restaurants and bars that are considered upscale and more expensive and they are mainly only a higher concentration of them around tourist areas, but they have those in any tourist town. Don’t freaking stay at the Four Seasons and dine in ritzy areas and go out to the most pretentious clubs and wear designer clothes if you don’t want it to be expensive. We have Walmart and Motel 6 and Taco Bell just like everywhere else. I’ve lived in Scottsdale for 20 years and never gotten a photo radar ticket. If you just pay attention and don’t drive like an idiot, you can avoid it. Gas is not more expensive.
