What is expected of Rose-Hulman faculty?
Rose-Hulman faculty members are expected to be outstanding teachers. They are also expected to continue to be outstanding teachers. In order to continue to be an outstanding teacher a faculty member must engage in continuing professional development and scholarly activity. Individual faculty members are free to choose how they continue to develop as professionals. Clear evidence of scholarly activities and professional development is required for tenure and promotion. Members of the faculty also act as academic advisors, serve as advisors to co-curricular or social groups, undertake committee work, and perform other professional and community service activities as a part of their duties.
