You will be expected to communicate regularly with your mentee as well as commit to 4 hours of face to face contact with the youth each month. CHOICES, Inc. expects you to treat the youth, birth family, and foster family with courtesy and respect. Mentor’s must turn in monthly reports, work cooperatively with our agency, learn about their mentee’s treatment goals and permanency plan, and support those goals and plans to the best of their ability. CHOICES, Inc. is both proud and excited to introduce our P.I.C.K. Mentoring program. P.I.C.K. stands for People Influencing & Coaching Kids. Our program is designed to work with youth between the ages of 14 and 21 who are being served by a child welfare placing agency. This program will provide mentors to youth with the specific purpose of the mentor helping the youth adjust to their placement, assist in the emancipation process or support the reunification process.
