What is expected of FCX interns?
Freeport-McMoRan interns must be qualified in every way to work at the mine. They will undergo drug-and-alcohol screening and a background check. They will be expected to show high ethical standards, reliable and safe work habits, and to maintain passing grades in their coursework, as well as acceptable evaluations at the mine. After completion of the program, successful interns will be expected to work for Freeport-McMoRan for an additional two years time, or be willing to return the scholarship funds they received.
