Concrete slab support with helical piers is achieved by transfering the concrete floor slab’s weight onto helical piers before or after foundation construction. COMMON FOUNDATION SUPPORT APPLICATIONS Among the other growing applications for the CHANCEĀ® Helical Pier are foundation repair, new foundation support as in Jewish Museum of Maryland, and the support of any existing concrete slab which is: 1) settling due to soil erosion beneath, or 2) in need of strengthening due to current or increased load requirements. We offer foundation repair to sagging concrete floors, stabilizing them by securing a slab bracket to a Helical Pier which has been drilled through cored access holes into the underlying soil.
