What is everyone doing if anything to keep fit during pregnancy?
I ended up gaining 60 pounds with my son because I got put on bed rest at 5 months and I just blew up. This time around, I’m planing on not letting myself get into that kind of shape. I have a gym membership and I’m going to rotate days between light exercise like walking on the treadmill and exercises to help strengthen my lower back (hopefully that will help later on down the road) and doing laps in their pool. I’m also going more organic. I’m putting a lot more fruits, veggies and whole grain in my diet along with fresh meats either baked or cooked in olive oil. Hopefully this time I can manage to only gain the weight of the baby.. Good luck and congratulations on your pregnancy!
Pilates is great for pregnancy. The benefit of Pilates’ movement therapy exercises for women thru pregnancy and post-partum is mostly misunderstood. Simply put, Pilates is a safe and effective approach to exercise for pregnant women to assist with breathing, body alignment and to recover body shape and tone after birth.
