What is Evangel University?
Evangel is a private, coeducational Christian university with the highest level of accreditation available and offers more than 100 programs in 10 academic departments. Our 80-acre campus is located in Springfield, Missouri, a medium sized city of more than 150,000 people in the heart of the scenic Ozarks region and 30 miles north of Branson. “Evangel” is derived from the Greek word used in the New Testaments for “Good News” or “Gospel.” Why Evangel?
