ESRTW stands for Early and Safe Return To Work, meaning exactly what the name suggests…the early and safe return of an injured employee to modified duties. There are a number of benefits to implementing an ESRTW Program, the most obvious of which is a reduction in claim costs. By quickly returning an employee to modified duties, an employer can greatly reduce the amount of benefits paid to that employee, and thus, the amount of compensation costs charged to the employers experience rating position.
