ProViz also has the option to calculate charged based electrostatic potential (ESP via point charges) over a 3D grid using the formula. Default and user defined grids are as discussed above. It uses the already available charges and if charges are unavailable then it calculates the charges using Gasteiger Marsili method before calculating the potential. Once calculated, this property can be visualized in the usual way in ProViz.
