What is Equine Guided Education or Horse Assisted Coaching?
EGE is a focused, intentional relationship between a professionally trained equine assisted coach, a willing horse, and an individual client or group of people. The individual or group is looking to change things up, get unstuck or seek more in their personal or professional lives. What is the role of the horse? The horse’s role is simply to be a horse. Horses, as prey animals, are very good at “reading” the intent and the underlying emotions of other beings. They mirror the internal landscape of humans. Thoughts, emotions and intentions all carry energy. Horses make no judgment on “good” or “bad” emotions. Emotions are information to pay attention to and when we step back from them, give us choice in our actions. Under the right set of circumstances, they actually can help us to be more emotionally and socially intelligent, success ingredients for being a leader in our own lives and in the lives of others.
