Episode 1 marks the beginning of an episodic trilogy aimed at wrapping up the current Half-life 2 story arc. Episode 1 kicks off seconds after HL2. Having just de-stabilized the Citadels dark fusion reactor, scientist turned resistance fighter Gordon Freeman is forced to deal with the reprucusions of his actions. With the Citadel in meltdown he is forced to flee a City in ruins, and aid in a mass exodus before the Citadel explodes – taking City 17 with it.
