What is EPAs proposal on coal ash?
EPA is proposing the first-ever national rules to ensure the safe disposal and management of coal ash from coal-fired power plants under the nation’s primary law for regulating solid waste, the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA). We have put forward two proposals that reflect different approaches to managing the disposal of coal ash and are inviting public comments on these two options.
