What is entailed in the comprehensive exam?
Distance education students are required to take a comprehensive examination either in the final semester of coursework or during one of the following three semesters. The examination consists of three parts: 1) a two-hour written examination of essay questions dealing with content from the Augustine Institute’s core curriculum, 2) a two-hour written examination of essay questions dealing with content from the student’s area of concentration, 3) a one-hour follow-up oral examination administered in-person or by phone with two faculty members.
