What is engineered flooring and what is the purpose of engineered flooring?
Engineered flooring is wood flooring which is constructed of layers similar to plywood. The top layer of wood is usually oak or maple while the underlying sections are a less expensive wood. Engineered flooring can be installed at, above, or below ground level. It makes better use of our wood resources. Solid wood flooring can only be installed at or above ground level.
