What Is Enfuvirtide Used For?
Enfuvirtide is used for treating HIV and AIDS in adults and children as young as six years old. The drug works by stopping the HIV virus from multiplying and destroying healthy cells. It is significantly different from most other types of HIV medications because it works on the outside of the cells, rather than the inside. There are currently no off-label enfuvirtide uses.
