What is ENERGY STAR doing for quality assurance?
As part of the criteria, ENERGY STAR will be creating a quality assurance testing program to ensure that the products that have earned the ENERGY STAR perform as expected. This new testing program will be administered by an independent third party and consist of off-the-shelf testing. The quality assurance program is expected to launch in early 2010.
